Ganiyu Babatunde Dalley was called to the English Bar (Honourable Society of the Inner Temple) in 1970 and subsequently the Nigerian Bar in 1972. He commenced his legal career with the firm of Olatunde Abudu & Co in 1973 and was subsequently appointed Partner in 1976. In 1978 he was appointed Managing Partner and has since headed the Intellectual Property, International and Aviation law departments.

As one of the pioneer practitioners in the field of Intellectual Property in Nigeria he is a member of the committee appointed to submit proposals for the amendment of Nigeria’s Trade Mark, Patent and Design laws. He is also a Patron of the Intellectual Property Association of Nigeria and is often invited to give talks on the development of Nigeria’s Intellectual Property law. He is also an overseas member of the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys and is currently a member of International Trade Mark Association’s (INTA’s) Anti-counterfeiting subcommittee.
